Nelco Testing and Engineering Services which provided just a handful of soil density testing services fiffteen years ago, is one of Miami Dade County's approved laboratories, offering a complete array of soil, foundation and material testing, environmental studies, and structural inspections. While it began as small operation with a few clients, the company grew steadily gradually increasing its personnel and services to include soil borings, percolation and other test.
As demand expanded, structural inspections and environmental assessments were added to its service roster.

Geotechnical Investigation and Evaluations
Nelco has performed many geotechnical site investigations throughout the State of Florida. These investigations are performed following the guidelines set forth by ASTM. We have performed these investigations for numerous sites for proposed Residential Development, Individual Residences , Commercial Properties and Government Agencies. Based on these investigations, our experienced professionals provide an insight for our clients regarding the type of structures the soil can hold and necessary modification to increase the strength of the existing sub-grade materials. We can also provide our clients with deep foundations, recommendations, supervision of installation and load testing.

Environmental Site Assessments
Nelco has successfully performed hundreds of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) since 1997 for numerous sites (residential, vacant lands, industrial facilities, and shopping complexes) throughout the State of Florida at the request our clients. Our experienced team provides insight to our clients on specic site conditions and the general conditions of the neighboring properties. We perform all of our Phase I ESA's according to the surveys set by the ASTM.
Nelco has performed many Phase II ESA's for possible petroleum, hazardous waste and solid waste contamination, under the supervision of one of our State of Florida licensed Professional Engineers throughout the State of Florida. The sampling for soil and groundwater is performed by 40-hour OSHA trained eld personnel. All sampling is performed in strict adherence to guidelines established by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
